Seriously, my Mum said whenever she would take me out anywhere she would get at least 8 people tell her how blue my eyes were. Now their hardly blue at all, they changed to green! Lol but I would rather green eyes on me anyway so it worked out. |
thats kinda like what happened to my dad, he had grey eyes but when he grew up they turned hazel. |
Mine when from bright blue, to blue-green, to a green-grey. But my eyes change colour! Lol it's weird, sometimes my eyes look green, sometimes they look blue-green and sometimes they look green-grey, it's weird. |
yeah. when i was a baby, they where brown. lol,
~~~~~~~~~~
i noticed english people say "colour" instead of "color" and same w/ favorite. lol. |
Yeah, we spell things differently. Colour, favourite, neighbour....
Most of American "z's" are spelled with an "s" too, like memorise, realise, personalise......
yeah and i learned that right when i learned to spell bigger words, my parents spent years trying to make me spell things the 'right' way again. my teachers sometimes like take points off of essays because of using brittish spelling, i guess they think im making it up or somehting.. |
Lol yeah, some of my teachers are like "Spell things the American way!" and I'm like "Uh.. no, I'd rather not, thanks".
Even though I know how to spell things "American-like", when I write I automatically spell things the way I was taught. Why go over ever sentence I write and have to white-out every word I spell differently? |
yeah. i started spell-checking everything to make sure it was the way my teachers wanted it, because i would have to go to a language arts and spelling elective class instead of drama class, which would be horrible, so i have to be very careful now. |
lol, omg, since me and lia go to the same school, we have one of the same teachers, he is a history teacher, and a pe teacher, lia has him for pe, i have him for history, omg, and then he had a sub today, and he is from like new york or something, and his accent is so funny!!!! i was cracking up! it seemed like everyone was! it's so funny!!! and some kids where all like making fun of him, like this one kid behind me was all like, mimicking hime (i'm just gonna right it the way he sounds) "wyite down the fouy sentences" and then he sounds like an english person when he changes his voice to the wrongs that come to the new york accent! like he goes from an english accent, then it sounds like he is speaking an english accent!  |
Yeah, it's the only accent in America that is non-rhotic (not pronouncing "r's")
Southern accent's are odd too, they pronounce alot of "i's" as "a's". Like.. "Ah didn't know skadavin was a crahme."
