Addy Walker is a proud, courageous girl who escapes from slavery with her mother in 1864. Together they embark on a dangerous journey to the North, hoping one day to reunite their family. Addy learns to read and write, makes new friends, and discovers what being free really means. Throughout it all, she holds on to her love and hope to get her through the worst of times and keep her dreams alive.

Addy joined the American Girl collection in 1993, and was the second girl to be introduced after the series was launched with Kirsten, Samantha and Molly in 1986.

I like Addy, but I don't have the doll. I really hope they make a movie of her, because she would make a really good movie.

i like addy, because she is so simple. she is just her.maybe ill get her in the future, but i like some others alot more, so not for a long time.

Yeah. I like Addy. I read her whole book series and it was great! I'm sure they will make a movie out of her. Dont they make a movie out of all the dolls?

I don't think they will make a movie for every doll, then there would be about 16 historical dolls!

Addy's hair is difficult to play with. It gets really ratty. She is more of a display than play doll. Like Molly and Kirsten with their braids. But I really like her clothes and I LOVE her stories. It will be an awesome movie!

yeah, the textured hair is hard to repair if it gets tangled

I dont have Addy, but i like her stories. i dont think i'll get her, i cant get more than 3 dolls.

OMG, YOU NEED TO GET HER!!! SHe is the best ag ever! she is so cute and her dresses are so pretty! i couldnt live without my addy twins for 1 second! i bring them everywhere, even dentist appointments! we have matching braces!
